River rafting in the Kosi River at Corbett National Park is one of the most beautiful ways to enjoy its speedy waters, taking you through Class II & III rapids. This activity is meant for all - beginners or professionals. River rafting in Jim Corbett can be done only during the monsoons. The best time for river rafting in Kosi river is from July to First Week of November. Other adventure water sports like fishing, angling and rappelling are also organized on the river.
Hanuman Dham will hoist its fame all over the world as the fifth Dham of India. Because this is the only temple in the world which shows the nine forms and 12 pastimes of Hanuman ji i.e. his total 21 forms. It is said that this Dham will prove to be a major center for the protection and promotion of the country's religious and cultural heritage.
The entry gate of this zone is Dhela Gate, which is around 20 km from Ramnagar, the nearest town of Corbett Park. You have to show the entry permit at the gate in order to get inside the park. So, if you want to stay at the Jhirna FRH, you need to book the room at the FRH, hire a jeep safari and a guide which is mandatory to enter in the park.
Dhikala FRH is the most sought after rest house due to its strategic location and enhanced facilities. Dhikala forest rest house is the biggest rest house with having around 28 double-bed rooms and a dormitory of 12 beds in various accommodation wings. Dhikala FRH is the only forest rest house in the Corbett NP which has the facility of 24-hour electricity in the rooms.
With in Bijrani Zone, Forest rest houses are located in Bijrani and Malani. The rest house at Bijrani has six rooms (Four with double beds and two with single bed) and dormitory consisting of four beds. The compound has its own restaurant and canteen. Elephant rides into the jungle are available from here.
